Balenciaga's creative director ,Nicolas Ghesquiere, is going to leave the fashion house at the end of the month. Francois-Henri Pinault stated: " Nicolas (Ghesquiere) has brought to Balenciaga an artistic contribution essential to the unique influence of the house"
It was an unexpected decision as Ghesquiere has turned out remarkable collections for Balenciaga since 1997, in the age of 26. He made Balenciaga covetable and cool among the fashionista set fir more that 15 years, gaining attention for his futuristic accessories and shoes
We assume it will be difficult for the house to replace such a creative director. Hopefully Balenciaga won't be leaderless for long.
